This Privacy Policy describes how the Google Maps Easy Scrape Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles information. By using the Extension, you agree to this policy.
The Extension reads publicly visible business listing data from Google Maps pages, including business names, ratings, review counts, phone numbers, addresses, and website URLs. This is data already displayed on-screen by Google Maps — the Extension simply organizes and exports it for the user.
All scraped data is stored exclusively in the user's own browser using Chrome's
built-in chrome.storage.local API. This means the data never leaves the user's
device and is only accessible to the user themselves.
The Extension does not transmit, upload, or share any data with external servers, third parties, or the developer. No analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind is performed.
The Extension does not collect any personal information about the user, including but not limited to: name, email address, location, browsing history, or any identifying information.
The Extension operates solely on google.com/maps pages. It does not integrate with or send data to any third-party service or API.
Users can delete all locally stored data at any time by clicking the
"Clear Results" button within the Extension sidebar, or by clearing Chrome's
extension storage via chrome://settings/siteData.
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
